This research is under the guidance of Dr. Umar Fauzan, M.Pd as the advisor I and Widya Noviana Noor, M.Pd as the advisor II.
Backgrounds of this research are what are the strategies used by the teachers to teach reading and how do the teachers implement the reading lesson at the class, meanwhile the objectives of this research are to discover what are the strategies used by the teachers to teach reading at the eleventh grade and how are the implementations of the English teachers in reading lesson at the eleventh grade of SMK Negeri 15 Samarinda. This research uses qualitative-descriptive research. The subjects of this research are four English teachers in SMK Negeri 15 Samarinda. The instruments used in this research are interview and documentation.
Based on research result obtained, it is explained that every teacher has different strategies to teach the students at the class and the teachers used different implementations as well. The results obtained through interview by English teachers of SMK Negeri 15 Samarinda, and basically they used lesson plan and sylabus, which are the semester programs that have been approved to be teaching material at the class.
