Darussalam Samarinda In The Academic Year 2024/2025 – Under Graduated Thesis. Supervisor: (1) Rostanti Toba, M. Pd. (2) Nadia, M.Pd., M.TESOL. Writing is the act of expressing thoughts, ideas, and feelings through the written word, allowing individuals to convey their message to a wider audience. Writing is not merely a passive act of recording information but an active process of transforming and shaping ideas into a coherent and structured form. Writing can serve multiple purposes, such as working out ideas, shaping emerging thoughts, reflecting on experiences, communicating with others, and creating aesthetic works. Writing can help a person explain something that is being thought about. The research objective was to identify the enhancement of the Team Games Tournament students‟ writing proficiency of procedure text at MTs. Darussalam Samarinda in the Academic Year 2024/2025. The research used a classroom action research design conducted in two cycles. Each cycle contains four steps: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The research subject was eighth-grade students at MTs. Darussalam Samarinda in the academic year 2024/2025. Data were collected in this research through quantitative research, through observation and test to describe the progress of the action. The average score and percentage class were used as a representative central tendency for the enhancing students‟ writing proficiency. These research findings showed that there was an improvement in students' writing proficiency using the Team Games Tournament method, which could be seen from differentiation calculations between the total average score of reflection I and reflection II. In cycle I, the students‟ writing proficiency on procedure text was categorized as low, with an average score of 72,71 and a percentage of the class passing grade of 42,85%. However, some students still need to reach the minimum completeness criteria. In cycle II, the average score of students was 82,82 and the percentage class of passing grade was 85,71%.
