Teacher’s Problems In Developing Lesson Plan In English Learning At MAN 1 Samarinda In Academic Year 2020/2021

The researcher formulated of this problem to be how are teacher’s problems in developing lesson plan in English learning at MAN 1 Samarinda in academic year 2020/2021. The objective is to know how teacher’s problems in developing lesson plan in English learning at MAN 1 Samarinda in academic year 2020/2021. The 2013 curriculum is a curriculum in Indonesia which focuses mainly on achieving student’s competence and character. There are four aspects of competence to be achieved including; spiritual, attitude, knowledge and skill which are then outlined in the Core Competencies (Kompetensi Inti/KI). Lesson Plan is the written procedures of activities in the teaching and learning process. Some compenents create lesson plan at least standard comptence, basic competence, objectives, and learning activities, also assesment.
The researcher used descriptive qualitative method. The subject of this research was the English teacher’s at MAN 1 Samarinda in academic year 2020/2021. The instruments used in this research were interviews and documentation. In this research, the researcher to analyze the data used Miles, Huberman and Saldana with three steps; data condensation, data display, and conclusion.
The results of this research, it was found that there were several English teacher’s at MAN 1 Samarinda who had not fully implemented the 2013 curriculum standards based on HOTS in designing lesson plans in terms of (1)learning objectives; the teacher formulates learning objectives that are not in accordance with the Basic Competence (KD) and the indicators to be achieved, (2)learning materials; the teacher design learning materials that are not based on TPACK and are not relevant to the KD and indicators, (3)learning media; the teacher does not design use of media to facilitate the development of student attitudes or skills, (4)learning strategies; the teacher determined the learning model and designs learning strategies but it was not based on TPACK, and (5)evaluation; the teacher makes an evaluation instrument that agrees on learning indicators which include two aspects, namely attitudes and knowledge only. Seeing from what the researcher got on the lesson plans, they are still applying the old standards based on LOTS.
