This research was supervised by Mrs. Rostanti Toba, M.Pd as the first advisor and Mrs. Widya Noviana Noor, M.P as the second advisor.
Learning achievement is the end result of a learning process. Low learning achievement indicates that a learning process has not been successful overall so it is necessary to evaluate the various components that exist during the learning process such as the learning environment. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of the learning environment on the English achievement of eighth grade students at MTs. Pesantren Darussalam Samarinda and the level of English achievement of eighth grade students at MTs. Pesantren Darussalam Samarinda.
This research uses a descriptive method that using quantitative analysis for research data. This research involved 46 students who were divided into two classes at MTs. Darussalam Boarding school Samarinda which is the eighth grade. Research instruments in the form of tests and questionnaires in this data.
The findings of this research reveal that there is a significant influence between the learning environment on the English achievement of eighth grade students at MTs. Pesantren Darussalam Samarinda with a significant level of 0,001 which is smaller than 0,005 so that it has a positive influence. The level of influence of the learning environment on the English achievement of eighth grade students at MTs. Pesantren Darussalam Samarinda lies in the strong category with a correlation coefficient of 0,640 which lies in the range of 0,60 – 0,799 so that the influence between the learning environment on the English achievement of eighth grade students at MTs. Pesantren Darussalam Samarinda is strong.
